zl1 full build
built shortblock, stock crank, H beams, Wisco 11cc dish coated skirts
Heads are PRC cnc'd LS3 castings... 350 cfm CBI street cars custom grind TSP headers stock zl1 catback (because it is awseome...) meth with #10 jet for now.. fully ported blower NW 102 squash duel pump fuel system. LPE cold air Coan 3000 rpm stall 10% LPE lower pulley, 2.38 upper pulley the car is making a solid 15.5 pounds of boost according to HP tuner log... blower speed is at maximum safe level 25,000 rpm at 6500 rpm.. comanded shift points are being kept to 6300 and 6400 rpm. weld 20" rts wheels 10.5 rear and 7" in front. M/T 305 20s in back and 235 Perellis in front. the car is going up to get some testing done maybe as early as this weekend. there is a girl in my area that has a zl1 , shes a model. just now getting into drag racing . she got a mec. gullwing too that she has been racing . but got a zl1 she ran a 10.6 her first time out. but her family dont want to go any faster till she gets use to it more. so u should have some competition when she turns it up. but thats what the zl1 should be like .

Sounds like a neat ride:w00t: What compression ratio are you using? I think your blower will be spinning more like 22,500 at 6500 engine rpm unless my math is wrong.

Your math is wrong at least according to all the pulkey charts.. if it was a 2.55 maybe. But its a 2.38. With the 11 cc dish its about 10.1

This chart is one of a couple out there.. I have a 9.10 lower and a 2.38 upper.. The motor made 15#s with just the upper before. I was thinking it was going to be about 17 but I guess the new heads and cam are flowing some air. |
