Remove Speed Limiter

Hey there,

Does anyone knows a shop in the chicago area who could remove the build in speed limit of 155mph on my 2011 2ss.
What would be a reasonable price to do it?

Just so you know I gonna take her back to germany with me end of this year.
And as you probably know on the autobahn we are allowed to drive that speeds legally.
I just wanna test it at least once how fast the car really is.

Thanks

Felix

Try calling Speed, Inc. They are located in Schaumburg. Phone# 866-571-7733
You can at least see how much they would charge, as it is fairly close to your location.
There is also FLP (Finish Line Performance) located in Naperville. Phone# 630-717-0824

They both do full dyno tuning, so I'm sure they can disable to the Speed Limiter.

Better make sure you do all the proper upgrades in the suspension as well, and have new and proper tires for that speed, if you are going to go past the speed limiter specs or you will probably find yourself in a wreck.
