Goodbye from The Sticker Witch (kind of)

I had the honor of having my work featured on the home page of this website. I cannot thank the members of Camaro5 enough for their business, photos, and kind words. I have appreciated every single order and always made sure they were sent out as quickly as possible. I knew you had waited long enough for your cars, I didn't want you to wait for any decals :0) I don't like to advertise this fact in fear of people taking advantage of it, but any time anyone had problems intalling anything and asked about purchasing another, I sent a FREE replacement...People make mistakes and sometimes we all need a break.
Unfortunately, due to a specific seller on Ebay who personally contacted GM and gave my name, I have had all but a few auctions taken off of Ebay and am now being asked by GM for sales numbers. Ridiculous, but the law I suppose. I have had no problems or ill feelings toward any of the vinyl sellers that seem to frequent this forum. This seller stole my photos and then sent several nasty emails full of names and threats accusing me of reporting him to Ebay. All his photos seem to have been taken off of this site (your photos too) which makes me ask the question "Doesn't hoggywild778 have a Camaro to test fit all his decals?"
I have had all Pontiac decals pulled and all but a few Camaro decals. If it said Camaro, Chevrolet, SS, RS, or had a bowtie IT'S GONE. I still have a lot of ideas that I hope to get listed soon but the bulk of my inventory has been wiped out. I have asked GM about licensing but have heard that it's very difficult. So if anyone has any info about that it would be greatly appreciated.
Again, Thank you to anyone who was nice enough to give me their business. It took me weeks to draw, design, and fit everything I sold. All that hard work paid off when I started seeing pictures of your cars with my decals on them, that was AWESOME!!!
...I Love all my Camaro5 customers.

I bought several items from you on ebay- awesome!! that is all I can say!!!! I hate to hear that!!!!!!

So, you were selling GM-owned logos without a license? Hopefully all you get is having to pay GM for your past sales. I've known people that went to jail for this. It doesn't matter if GM makes it or not...the logo is theirs and they will vehemently protect their investment.

I hope all the other vinyl dealers on this site learn from your hard lesson and get a license BEFORE they sell another GM logo as the punishments from GM prosecution can be very severe.

I saw a guy this past weekend that has started producing some GM stripes (albeit for different cars than designed), but I know that GM has his name and contact information...I wasn't the one who called GM, but I do know at least two people called GM's legal department the following Monday.

GM has quite a bit invested in their logos, just like Nascar or Nike...and they WILL prosecute and honestly should.

I'm not saying stickerwitch was selling substandard items, but there are vinyl vendors out there peddling crap stickers. Without licensing, GM can't control this and someone will end up blaming GM for the crap someone sold them.

Lesson for the day: Don't buy something WITHOUT seeing the producers license for the product.

WOW, that sucks. I had two different purchases from you and both were great experiences. Just got the last one yesterday, glad i ordered when i did. Reminds me I need to leave feedback for what its worth.

Edit: I don't see a problem with what I ordered, I didn't order any bowties or anything. i ordered engine cover letters and door sill letters that spell chevrolet, but they are seprate pieces of yellow vinyl I could of easily just painted yellow or cut vinyl myself. I can understand bowties and maybe the full word chevrolet or camaro could get soemone in trouble, unfortunately sticker witch did both.

So you don't buy anything without seeing the producers license? It must be hell for you to go shopping:D

Hi, Beth. It's lehmande, aka Rodrunner. Thanks for the kind words in a difficult time. I knew something was up when I received the e-mail from ebay saying your engine cover "CHEVROLET" overlay decal had been removed from the site. It just reinforces how cutthroat people are willing to be when outclassed by another entrepreneur. I don't agree and am truely sorry! You were providing us with high quality, and in most cases, entirely unique upgrades for our cars. Only the billet aluminum sill plates I've purchased for far more money outclass the "Camaro SS" dash decal I got from you. Good luck, keep the items you can coming and the very best to you and Mike!!!

Good luck. By some of the posts on here it appears you had a great product. I hope you can get a GM license and be back in business. If it's possible make them aware of this thread to support the fact that you have a quality product worthy of GM licensing.

Im sorry to hear you have had so much trouble. I just ordered some generic spears and gills tonight off EBAY. Nothing Chevy logo but you sure will help customize my ride. Hope you can find a way to stick around. Camaro fans appreciate you.
