Front and Rear SS size difference

I was wondering if someone with a 1st gen Camaro could measure the front and rear SS emblems and see if they are the same size?

I am thinking about putting the original SS front on the rear trunk lid panel (10 Camaro) and I think the front would work a little better because they are slightly bent, but I don't know if they would cover the holes left by the bow tie, the way the original SS rear emblem will. That is why I would need to know the width and height b/w the two.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By looking at them right now I'm going to say Yes . I dont have a Tape measure on me however but I will add if you remove the front bowtie there will be large plastic Gaps on each side Of the "SS" after you install it.

Thank you Jekyll-N-Hyde

I was wanting to use the front 1st gen SS to put on the rear of the 10. I know my post was a little confusing. I know the rear 1st gen SS will cover the holes left by the bow-tie, so I need to know if the front and rear 1st gen SS are the same size, so I can order the front 1st gen SS for the rear of the 10 and have the holes covered up.

Thank you for your help & sorry to ask, but your the only one to offer any help, when you get a chance could you measure them?

Order a 1969 SS rearpanel "SS" emblem and read this post
You will have to bend the Emblem just a little but that isnt hard

I did that's where I was getting my info that the rear 69 would fit the 10 rear.

I just like that fact that the front was pre-bent, had a nice crease to possibly (if it'll cover the holes) work with. I liked the straight line crease it had vs the bend.

Thanks

Is anyone willing to take a tape measure to the emblems for me please?

Ok. Measured my '69. The front SS black background is 5 1/16" wide. If you bend the ruler to measure the actual length of the bent surface it is 5 1/8". The rear SS is flat and the black background is 5 1/16" wide. The SS itself is 4 9/16" on both the front and rear. Hope this helps.
