 not sure about the spoiler...need to see it finished I guess
|
You need a double wing spoiler to match the double inlet hood...

I'm not a designer, but I would suggest altering the angle of the slits in the hood to parallel the front lines of the car the same way the mail slot does. I love the rear spoiler though.

Clay modeling done by Hellen Keller. WTF? That looks pretty much like crap. Just adding another layer to the existing hood cowl looks pretty lame. To each his own.
|
like the front bumper and side skirts, the spoiler makes me embarrassed for the people at legenfelter and the hood is pretty much crap as well
|
not feeling the spoiler at all.
Looks like a upside down and back wards visor. |
The front spoiler is the best part.........
|
Nope! Just didn't hit with these mods!! Don't really like any of it!
|
Ummm.... The spoiler is different. Sorry, not feeling it.
|
ONe thing I know about Lingenfelter is that they are more function over form...so there is probably a reason for the looks...that being said I dont like the double slot hood cowl...lol
|
I like the hood! I wanna see the finished product though..
|
Not a fan at all. I was expecting a bit more from a premier company.
|
I dont understand the theme behind the design I guess. I dont care for the spoiler at all. It goes "out" way too far without going "up" enough for my liking.
The hood, I like the subtle take on increasing the "cowl" shape of the hood, but I think the scoops miss the mark completely. The front lip isnt bad, but blatantly looks added on... I think the mantra for all ground effects should be "less is more"... the side skirts are even stranger, especially the rear section of the side skirts. Im with Valor on this one, I think there should more of a theme going on, looks like it's just kinda putting things up on the Camaro "just to see" what they look like, I dont get a feeling that there's much a plan or goal in mind by looking at the clay moldings. |

Well if you can't say anything nice, my parents said... so I'll leave it at that...
Good thing it's only clay and it can be redone easily. I'd humbly suggest that an actual wing; not a Nascar-type "lip" is going to set off this body better, by breaking up the reverse-point that the ass-end of the car has. 99% of the pics of the Dale Spoiler (which everyone seems enamored with) actually looks very similar to this spoiler, just not as "thick" on the underside... I was hoping for a different direction. |

 like it so far. not sure about the spoiler, but not bad

Not a fan at all. Need to see it finished I guess
|
I like this front lip over the GM kit, as it doesn't stick out 3 inches in front of the car. HOWEVER, I probably don't need to say much about that rear spoiler... :yikes:
|
yucky spoiler
|
looks like i found my new ground effects package and hood! that thing is gonna look sick! i love it.
|
Have to hold judgement til it is finished, but somehow Corvette Summer came immediately to mind.

The Dove Tail spoiler is more vertical this one here is thick and horizontal, I think they look very different... similar in some areas, but different in most.:headbang: |
Let's see the finished product but, from what I see here. I think you guys can do better.
|
Lingenfelter, we love you, but you've got to change that hood. No one likes it, and that's going to make sales impossible. Make the slits match the front angle please. The spoiler is probably extremely functional, but it would be profitable to also introduce a dovetail or ducktail spoiler simply because that is the one that people want to buy the most. I would like to see the front lip smoother if possible. The reason I'm concerned is that the GM option has a similar edge, and this represents an opportunity to beat OEM. It looks good, but others have pointed out that this might hinder your sales. Lastly, I want to encourage you to keep up the good work! You're company is pretty much amazing in every category, and we're lucky to have you working on our Camaros.

I would like to see a real working cowl hood, the rear spoiler looks like the bow of a boat. Tone it down a bit
|
First I wanna say Thanks for the info and pics, gotta agree with Blur, the hood openings need to more closely match the factory facia slit. The chin spoiler and sides are awesome. Not feeling the rear spoiler, this is just my opinion now. Please dont get angry. How about a second generation style dovetail spoiler? That is a piece Id like to see someone make! :w00t:
|
Overall effect is terrible
Take a perfectly good clean design and add too many apertures, angles and vents I also dont understand the obsession with "functional" hood scoops - when superchargers seem to be doing pretty nicely without them. |

Not everyone has a supercharger. Functional hoodscoops let the cold air in. Cold air = more power. Get the obsession? |
I want the gfx!! the hood looks sweet too
spoiler not so much :barf: |
Reserving judgement until anything near final starts being shown.
Maybe a few more angles on some of this stuff too, n'ect ce pas? |
installation
Hope the use something besides 2 sided tape on the front spoiler,, IT DOSENT HOLD
|
I'm surprised no one has noticed picture 3 is different than the rest... I like the hood on the other. I personally like the spoiler and think a tallish "nascar" style spoiler would be cool, but this one is different, more distinguished than the nascar style would be.
Long time watcher first time poster love the sight, the Camaro and all things Chevy performance related. |

Looks like the stock spoiler, but rick Moranis got to it. "Honey, I blew up the spoiler and made it look like crap..." |

yeah i like the front lip and sideskirts better but i'm not too sure about the rear (spoiler and kit)
|
What's the purpose of all this? I know Lingenfelter has a great reputation and all but honestly this looks like something cobbled together from totally unrelated parts out of a J.C. Whitney catalog. Is this supposed to be a race car? A special-effects movie car? What's the theme supposed to be? Or is this just a mule to try out bits and pieces that aren't intended to go together?
The hood looks cheesy; the gills are too wide and don't fit at all. The spoiler is way too much and looks like the brim of a banker's visor upside down. These are such beautiful cars; why do this? Sorry but this just looks like rice American-style to me. |
