I did not see 1000+ cars and we were there both days... But then again I didn't count them... Maybe because they were spread out IMO. Anyways great job for the organizers.

cybercamaro 08-06-2012 02:18 PM

That's incredible!!! It was my first one. Had a blast.

Overflow 08-06-2012 02:41 PM

Do you guys have an exact number?

DevilsReject97 08-06-2012 02:46 PM

The reason a lot of people didn't see them is the amount of people lined up on the strip to drag race, the people lined up to auto cross, and the amount of people who stayed at the hotel as well...

There was over 200 cars on the cruise on Thursday night and there was still about 150 cars sitting in the parking lot at the Wyndham alone...

240 + went on the cruise which was over 5 miles long.

I wonder how long the line would be if EVERY Camaro that went to Fest was in it.

Bluestreak 2010 08-06-2012 03:26 PM

OK. I misunderstood what you meant. The cruise was the only thing I was able to get out to, but I still had a great time seeing all the cars at the hotel.

I believe we had just over 400 parking spots in our area at the Wyndam. There was not enough spots to hold the exhaust line-up so had to cancel it.

Expected more to go on the cruise.

There were still people pulling in that arrived later in the evening not to mention people from the over hotels lining up on the street. Looked great from my view!!!! Took about 500 photos over the weekend..

A lot of people were talking about the 4 cars that were involved in the accident and how crazy 465 can be and decided not to go on the cruise. Besides the flashers it was an amazing time.

Mr. Wyndham 08-06-2012 11:46 PM

A lot of folks were racing this year. It was awesome to see. The Drag Strip were constantly busy, and the Auto cross was overwhelmed...easily doubled last year's participation, there...

So while many were in line for racing...the rest were in the show...or getting installs. We also counted vendors' and GM's cars.

We're still working on a final number we can refer to...but over 1000 cars is an astonishing achievement! Thank you ALL! I hope you had a great time! :headbang:

mlee 08-07-2012 01:10 AM

WoW... I guessed around 800... Had a total blast once again this year.

While we are on numbers we had 99 cars drag racing...

They made just over 600 passes...

Genob4c 08-07-2012 10:05 AM

Is the 1000+ paid attendance of individuals, or the number of Camaros?

Geno

I believe with the paid participants Camaros, the ones brought by vendors, GM cars, and Camaros brought by support staff ( Like our CICC cars) it was over 1000 Camaros that were there.:happyanim::chevy:

Lee0123567 08-07-2012 04:08 PM

I don't know if anybody noticed this but our wrist bands were numbered
Mine was 852

f5journal 08-10-2012 07:46 AM

Do you have an approximate number of attendees...including drivers, mods, GM VIP's, vendors, their employees, spectators and all

I can close the parking lot down but I can't open the track up. :bellyroll:

Hold on to it...may end up WBOTW wristband of the week soon.

CamaroSkooter 08-11-2012 10:36 PM

Though, if wristbands WERE numbered sequentially, that would make attendance counting much easier.

Just sayin ;)

khislop007 08-12-2012 12:51 PM

Wow..1049...that's awesome!
