Unofficial 1/4 Mile (V8) 2010+ Camaro Fast List

12 Attachment(s)
I just wanted to let you guys know what this "unofficial" 1/4 mile list is all about. It will include all times corrected through Drag Times DA calculator.

All time slips to be directly uploaded to Camaro 5 web site and not a third party photo storage service.

This will allow for guys racing at high altitude and hot humid areas to possibly make the fast list.

The members that had already submitted corrected times along with a valid time slip (including date, time, track) in the "official" 1/4 mile thread have already been added to this list.

For everyone else, if you want your times adjusted for DA, you need to resubmit your time slip in this thread along with the corrected time. Your timeslip must include the date and time along with the track information so the corrected time can be varified.

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

Unofficial 1/4 mile fast list (contains all varified corrected for altitude and red light runs). For the uncorrected 1/4 mile fast list http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21013

Top 30 in each category

Cool... Had a good run and the Weather here in Phoenix is not the best. Would have been even better had the Car not wheel hopped in all 3 gears.

I used the link provided above to calculate my corrected time. I used the weather data provided for coastal plains dragway on 15 Nov 2009 at 3:56pm, except I changed the outside air temp to 73*F, becuase that is what my in car thermo said during the run.

So I'm confused..technically if someone already has a negative DA and they correct it..wouldn't that actually hurt their times? Why would corrected times even count? Obviously it's not even a counted run let alone a run that would be duplicated.

Yes, if he wanted to correct his time and submit it, his time would actually be slower.

Allowing corrected times to the "unofficial" 1/4 mile list is to make things more fair for the guys that live at high altitude.
And its up to you whether you want your time corrected and added to the list. If the time shown is corrected, it will say corrected next to the time with the density altitude (DA).

Is this an L99 A6 or LS3 M6?
Also, what is the fully corrrected time? (trap speed?)

cmiller8006 01-10-2010 10:46 AM

Shouldn't you instead of having all last years runs start with only 2010runs. That's what other forums do

Submitted for Bolt-Ons without Internal Engine Modification: At the time I had headers, TA's, tune and Nitto DR's (LS3 M6)

I just read that we can request our corrected time listed in this thread. My 12.61 @ 113.52 mph on 9-17-09 @ 3.26PM was corrected to
12.322 sec 116.243 mph, if you split the difference between weather date for 2:53 PM and 3:53PM. The only times for weather data on
dragtimes.com are at 2:.53PM and 3:53 PM. If you split the difference I got a temp. of 84 degrees, 64% humidity, and 29.925 barometric
pressure for a corrected DA of +1992.

I don't know exact weather for 3.26 PM may be someone can get more accurate info. The DA for 2:53 PM was DA +1981 and corrects to
12.324 ET and 116.226 mph. The DA for 3:53PM was DA +2003 and corrects to 12.32 @ 116.261 mph.

Correcting for DA? Wow, come on guys. On an official list you post what you ran and what the DA was during that run. If it's in negative DA conditions are you going to correct the other way? :laughabove:

That's why its "unofficial." But its good to compare times from around the country. Not everyone gets a chance to run in cool air at a low elevation track. It gives the guys that live at higher altitudes or hot humid climates a chance to compete.
The "unofficial" also shows the runs where guys have red lighted.

And if you notice, most time times in the "unoffical" list are uncorrected.

I understand what you're saying, but corrected times aren't accurate in the least bit..It's an estimation of what it could run in better conditions. I think people would take this list more seriously if actual track times were posted next to what the DA was. Checkout the fast list on the Corvette forums for reference.

Anyways, impressive list indeed, keep it up guys.

That's what the "official" list is for. The "unofficial" list is called the "unofficial" list for a reason.:)

Corrected times are not real times.
