GM cam gear timing mark?

I'm guessing the factory timing mark on the cam gear is the beveled slot looking thing next to a tooth? Its the only thing I could see that remotely resembled a timing mark. Guess we'll see here in 3-4 hours once i change the springs and put her back together

Try this...

Let us know how she comes out.

Yep. Mine looked exactly like yours, but with no red dot. I just used the bevel slot, since (like in your picture) its in the same spot anyway.

Cool...this is an LS9 but it will give the same idea hopefully.

Let us know how it works out for you and good luck man!
Ivan ;)
