not really lol, go to a Washington state Map & look up YELM, you will see most of the major roads you have to go through or over water at one point in time.

Is your property and cars in danger of flooding?

the only way my place can flood is the water on the ground, We live high enough & far enough from both the lake & the river to not have flooding, so we are safe here, BUt my brother in law & many of friendslive close to rivers.

Rodrunner 01-07-2009 07:16 PM

Bummer! Well, I mean good for you and your family, but you can't help worrying about friends and relatives that may get flooded. I've never gone through anything like that and hope I never do! So, are you getting a lot of rain now or is it mainly snow melt?

zebra 01-07-2009 07:44 PM

where i went to high school, usually in late november, it rains hard all day every day for about 2 wks. all the creeks & rivers rise many feet, parts of the highway get shut down, & school lets out for almost a week because people can't get through the 3-4 ft of water standing on some roads. usually sometime between april & june, the newly formed ponds in people's fields dry up.

Sorry to hear that. Keep safe and sleep upstairs!

the low land flooding is caused by rain, But on top of that Our snow level went above pass stage so we are dealing with a huge amount of snow melt as well.
as of Midnight tonight they are closing I-5 south of where I live at, so no one can get out of the state, (the passes are all cosed as of right now)

Iroczlover 01-07-2009 08:35 PM

Keep an eye on this site its one of the local news channels.

They just shut down a 20 mile area of I-5
