engine light
 
hi
i bought kooks lt for my l99 and when i finshed instaling the
kooks headres my check engine light came in
by the way the kooks is 1/78 lt off-road
what can i do now
ps i have diablo programer but i dont know what 2 do

Since it appears from your profile that you are not in the USA, I don't know if your car originally came with catalytic converters and the rest of the emission control system. But if it did, and if you removed the cat converters, then you will get the check engine light because the O2 sensors show that the emissions are higher now. Or maybe the header change did something else that affected the O2 sensors.

Also, adding headers to a factory-stock Camaro might disturb the air-fuel mixture somewhat, which might set the check engine light if it's too far out of range. The car probably needs to be tuned to adjust the fuel mixture to compensate for the exhaust changes. I don't know enough to tell you how exactly to do that.

This question probably would get more action in the "tuning" part of this forum.

by the way our cars here in qatar is 100% like americans cars in us
