I just returned form the drag strip and I wasn't going to leave until I saw a 12 second ET :)
Notes
Matt PS: If any Cold Air Intake companies want to prove their product works bolt-on without a tune let me know as I am pretty consistent in this thing ;) |
Great job Matt! So the 12.7 put up by MT is doable... maybe with a splash of fuel and no baby seat? :D

Thanks. Yeah its doable. But ideal conditions would need to apply. Prepped track, cool air and some abusive shifts would do it.
I had to drive mine home so I couldn't "go for broke" but I think I rung her out the best I could today. |
Congrats!!! Just think if it was a cool 50 degrees out and the DA was - . You may have an .70 or .80 pass in it all stock.

And on a side note the ZL1 splash guards did their job keeping the rubber off the paint. I see about $20?, $30?, $40? in rubber in my wheel wells.....I just hope it is not all mine :) |

Here's your corrected time:
|
Well there we have it... how can the SS equipped with 1LE, which requires a shift into 4th, be a half second faster than a stock SS?

At least I would be in 15th position on that list...(I know, not same trans gearing or rear end gearing....)
|
That's my point... the guys at the top of that list have some serious 1/4 mile seat time. Do they not? I think your workman like runs are awesome Matt. 15th on THAT fast list with a baby seat strapped in. Woot!!

You're corrected time would have you fifth. The lighter wheels have to be the difference. Guess we can't make a direct comparison. Interesting non the less. :D

I wasn't sure If they made the list using actual or corrected times. I am very happy if it is corrected times. I should have also noted above that I did not use the launch mode in any of the runs. I held the traction control down for the 7 seconds to turn everything off. I would come off the clutch quickly at about 2800-3000 rpm but feather it to control wheel spin. The car would spin the tires to about 4000 rpm and then hook and go. Matt |
