And then of course there was the Camaro5 Fest! What a blast that was! Our club was highly recognized & I was so proud of us all. Here is the thread summing up our accomplishments. Ruby was featured under the Apex tent (which eventually colapsed on her) and that was great fun too.

Ruby participated in a salute to the 101st Airborne Division & one of our members who was deployed with them. Then we had a great club meeting & celebrated Karen's birthday with what else but a Camaro cake!

Nice car! You have been busy putting this thread together. I had thought like you at first that I didn't think my car deserved a build thread since I have not done much to it. I haven't been on here long but noticed a lot of builds threads and decided to just start one myself so I can share my mods with others that may have questions on whether to purchase something or not. I have come to the conclusion I don't need wheels as of yet but I can say I do like the ones on your car. Keep up the great work.

Ruby gets more mods 2 girls Garage style with the help of our club's resident mechanic Karen (you know her as Heaven_is_inferno_orange). We installed the Apex waterbottle relocation kit & scoop for the CAI inc intake, ported throttle body, & Black Iceolator & painted the manifold, all in an afternoon!

Well to a point I will but I figure this thread is to feature Ruby :biggrin:. I always start a thread in the photos section on our events with pics of the whole event for everyone to see. That is where I have pulled most of these pics from.

There are a lot of more very cool events Ruby & I have attended and it will take me a while to sort through all the pics I have taken in the last 3 years. While I was going trough some of them I saw a few of my favorite pics & thought I'd post those while I have them handy.
A couple more from the Fest: And one of my award & certificate from the Music City Chevy Show 2012 (I have not found the pictures from the show yet). I was really proud of it. It is the only 2 day show I have entered and the only one with standardized scoring. It rained hard both days off & on and I had to also take training & participate in the judging panels (not on any of our cars). The only points I lost were for cleanliness & as hard as it rained & having to drive there both days & deal with rain off & on all day. I'll take that! |
Talking about me waiting 3 yrs to start my thread. I'm glad you got inspired, I've watched your car come into her own. We're are also we glad that you, and Mike are two of our closest friends. It's always fun at the car shows. You have got the detailing down td a science. It's been extremely fun watching Ruby take home awards for being the star she is. She is on her way to becoming the feared SSLAYER on the dragstrip. Way to go. See you at the track.
