Diff. Fluid change?
 

This has probably been asked 1,000 times, but I can not seem to find the answer I am looking for anywhere. I have a 2012 V6 Automatic with 10,000 miles on it so I know I am do for a diff change. I know I don't need the additive in the diff fluid but if I put Royal Purple in mine will the additive that's in it already mess up my diff.

I have never heard of changing differential fluid at 10k miles. Maybe for racing?

No just been reading some of the older theads and just mainly for a piece of mind more than anything else

I did mine at 13k. Noticed an improvement and trust me it was dirty of shavings. Glad I did. I put in RP and it took 10 minutes or so. I highly recommend it

Btw just add the new oil and do some figure 8's in the parking lot

I changed mine at 50K and put in Royal Purple. I am at 64K now and have had no issues!

Yes mine is an auto. It's just like changing your oil.

Drain plug and fill is on the driver side. Not too bad did mine today

Good Job. Tip of the day for others. Remove the fill plug first. No sense removing the drain plug first only to find you cannot get the fill plug out. Then you have problems.

I did mine at 2300 miles to dump the stock fluid and any shavings. Then again at 25K. Wanted to see what it looked like since I had been down the track a number of times.

I went with Royal Purple. I have an automatic. Just like changing oil. Nothing to it.

change it, make sure you get a good oil and the slip additive...wait i am clueless on v6 does their rearend need the slip additive?
