I'd been in SUV's for the previous 12 years and really wasn't a sports car guy. My nephew hounded and hounded me about the Camaro. After test driving a CTS-V (outta my price range), a 2008 Corvette (outta my social class), and an SRT Challenger (not as good looking), I drove Da Whale. Two days later it was in my driveway. First mod was the AirAid CAI and muffler delete. Very impressed with the results of both. Next week, the WHEELS...have you seen the wheels? Love em, and haven't seen another Camaro with the exact wheels. And believe me, I'm looking!!! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=77889 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=77890 Jan 2012, I took a trip to NAS Whidbey Island for 5 weeks. I met and hung out with one of my favorite C5 members, Farthestnorth. His car is a MONSTER! I'm talking, Oh My Goodness...Badass! I returned home and installed Eagle Eye headlights, Blue Map Light, along with Heritage Grille with the help of member erk5000. A few weeks later, installed AAC Sidemarkers with MustangHater. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=75893 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=83922 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=72129 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=72130 I'm a retired Marine Gunnery Sergeant, Aviation Data Analyst. 22 years, 2 months, and 7 days. But, I lost count somewhere in Basic Training...so it felt like one BIG day that never ended until yesterday. Now, I have a little extra time on my hands. Future plans: SLP TVS2300, getting ahold of some stock 20's...AND FLOORING THIS SUCKER EVERY CHANCE I GET!!! So, pull up a chair, :bs: with me, and gimme some feedback. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=75841 http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ictureid=75842 |
Those wheels are sick! You have a great looking Camaro Gunny, I can't wait to see what else you'll be doing with your ride. :chevy:
One thing I would do is either delete the bowtie on the rear, or get a chrome one to go with your taillight's trim. Unless of course you're going to black out that trim. |

You dared us to find the thread. Wasn't difficult enough! Should have called it Tom's picturelees build thread to throw us off..lol. Nice backdrop with the whales and fitting, like that, and the rest of the car of course! Just think I wouldn't advertise the side markers, OCP may be tuning in..lol! As to the bowtie, delete it and go old school as we have said...lol

Heyyyyy finally you started a build , car looks awesome and your rims are killer sick, I suggest you paint your calipers the same color of the stripes you're gonna get, I was thinking of a double din audio with a metra or some other aftermarket kit myself so what's your recommendation on those? One more thing try and get a good camera and find a nice spot to make a nice photoshoot of your beast :D
