rules for selling

I have seen on other sites that when your selling an item your required to post a picture of the item with your user name in the picture as well. to help weed out the frauds. Just seemed like it would be a good idea as some listings seem a bit iffy.

this may have been discussed already, but thought i'd throw it out there anyways

Maybe a minimum number of posts also? How about 50?

Minimum number of post and some itrader points are a plus.

No different than EBay. Beware of those who do not give a description of the item they are selling and or picture. Members whom have multiple itrader rating is also helps. Just be careful, period. PayPal transactions are generally easy, as if seller does not provide item you can file a claim.

personally the post a pic with user name and date is one of the most useless things in today's world, I can get free photo programs that will photo shop something like that with ease.

I'd be leery of forums who still required this, if that's their idea of modern protection, any info you've put on the forum must be easy to steal

The fact that forums still use this extremely outdated mode of sellers security and haven't upgraded to the modern day reality is confusing to me.

I would be ok with a post count requirement if its not to high.

But its the buyers responsibility to be wary, use paypal to protect yourself, require multiple pics to you if your leery, and walk away if you aren't feeling a warm fuzzy about it.
