Driven Daily

There have been a lot of posts about can a FI car be daily driven. I just wanted to say yes you can! I had the IPS TT kit put on at 30,000 miles just over a year ago and I just hit 48,000 yesterday. I have to say I have enjoyed every mile of it.

I've driven the car through all seasons in new england and have only changed the spark plugs. So pull the trigger and enjoy the road!

Awesome.

How much did the TT + install put you back?

I'd love to do this kit but with Cali smog I think I'm screwed....

What kind of tires are you using? How's traction?

I paid kit price. I can't say what install would cost.

I had the stock pirelli's until I burned them off. I have Vred's now, they do fine. I can always spin rubber if I want.

I'll make sure to update the picture when I hit 50,000 miles

Awesome we on the same boat. I think I'm at about 47600 miles. And I've been running for the past almost 3 years my TT kit. With stock internals and manual transmission. But every turbo supported bolt on including meth kit. Ever since I seen what IPS did to HP's car I was sold on them. Nothing is meant to last and you only live once.

I would love to add meth to my kit. With future bills coming, it may be hard. oh well

KaBoom1701 07-12-2014 10:50 AM

What would a meth kit cost?

Around $400-$500. Depends on stage and brand. Mine was $500 for the AEM top of the line model with progressive control.
