Good temporary car?

I think I have a buyer for my current car, I wanna sell it now so the value doesn't decrease anymore than it already has.

But I'm gonna be looking for a cheap/beater temporary car until the Camaro comes out...I'm only looking to spend a few grand, because I'm gonna re-sell it once the Camaro comes in.

Any recommendations on what I should look for?

mid-late 90s honda civic probably would be a good cheap reliable car

A very good way to find a car cheap is, go to craigslist.org,find your area, click in the cars for sale category and then search by how much you want to spend,
thats how I found my car for $1600(pics in link on sig)

the typical rice car would be a good bet (hold the rice:D)

VW diesel, not the cheapest, not the prettiest, not even close to fast, but the MPG will give u wood

I see you live in NY, do you plan on driving your Camaro year round? If not this would be a good time to pick up a winter car. If you are looking for cheap and reliable, go with a Cavalier. And even if things do break, the extra grand or more that you save over a similar civic will cover you for a while. If you plan on selling it, resale value on a used 5 yr old car isn't going to change much over 6 months.

Yeah, I plan on driving my Camaro year round...I'd need the money from the temporary car I get after I re-sell it to put towards the Camaro. I'm only 18, so I can't really afford two cars lol.

If money is tight, remember that 10 cars that cost $500 will last a lot longer than 1 car that costs $5000 because even if the first or second is junk, the third or fourth might be decent.
