http://www.lingenfelter.com/LPEforum...hread.php?t=98
http://www.lingenfelter.com/images/DSCN0475_900.jpg And they also whave updated their package information on the Lingenfelter engine combinations that will be available for the new 2010 Camaro at http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages/camaro-2010 |
550HP L99 here I come!
|
550 does sound nice....
To bad it will probably cost $10,000 plus... |
OMG... that is so gonna suck for my pocket book... I'm hoping I can do something similar for less than what they will charge...:( Bit if not, it's good to know they are out there.
|
I wonder how much these packages will cost?? If it is any more than $10,000 for the cheapest option to get over 500HP, then it isn't worth it.. Get a GT500 instead or a Z06 Vette.

For me it's a matter of finding the right guys to help me install the internals and polishing... I don't know any good shops around here. My last modded car was built in my home town so I personally knew the guys doing the work... In the end I may have to go with a lingenfelter just to be sure the car is reliably built... I really don't want to do that if I don't have to. |
i agree, nobody wants to autozone it lol i guess part of the chunk of change is peace of mind.
|
Yea they give you a replacement powertrain warranty. Also your resale value will be higher vs DIY parts install. Cause it will be an actual "Lingenfelter Camaro" after done. And it will be in elite crowd cause I don't think they will make that many.
Much more elite than say a GT500... cough. :) |

I'm still giving GM a few years to see if they can bring anything out. Quote:

excuse me, i think i'm coming down with something. |
What? No V6 Love?:(
I know, just get the SS but options are good, I'd like to see what sort've improvements could be made to that beastly V6 with a snail attached.:D |
Magnacharger is going to offer a supercharger that will put the car around 475rwhp thats around 550 to the crank. With a 36k miles warranty on the drivetrain for 6k. Add long tubes, off road x-pipe, etc and it will probably be close to 600hp for 8k.
I think thats a better deal, I have the feeling this package will cost around 20k at least. |
Damn... I need my car so i can send it off for another 4 weeks
|
you gotta have deep pockets for this..like they say if you ask for the price you can't afford it! i know i can't. but i would love to have mine modified by those guys!
|
Nice to see some packages that don't make you buy expensive wheel and brake upgrades. Still too much cash for my wallet though. Warranty is nice though and hopefully they'll beat the snot out of those cars to get a reliable product.
How about a 1900 S/C?? That's probably what I'll do hopefully next year. :D |
Well, considering the 505HP package for the G8 is $11k, I'm going to guess that this Camaro package will be a little bit more.
|
If you look at the pics from Lingenfelter the silver car looks like an LT nose also no SS emblem in the grille.

Do you know the company history? He has broken several records with the cars. No offense to v6, I probably will get one myself later. But it's not EVEN something that Ligenfelter would touch. They don't mess around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnAwoGSoPdg |
I am an absolute fan boy of Lingenfelter... Callaway as well. and I suppose that is because of the Sledgehammer. Callaway built it, Lingenfelter drove it... :)
|
sweet. Lingenfelter= power, power=speed, speed= owning other pony cars. AWESOME.
|
From what i hear Lingenfelter also provides the best aftermarket performance support out there. You can go cheap but if something goes wrong will they cover it... Lingenfelter has a strong reputation for backing there products and fixing it if soemthing does go wrong. So you get what you pay for imo.
|
Just look at the GTO and G8 kits. . . I guarantee the Camro's will be around 10k.
