This is my first post - new to the site, and new to Camaros. My wife and I just purchased a 2013 SS yesterday!

One of the first things I wanted done was tint, but the dealership said GM put a warning out on tinting the back window because of the defroster. They said tint/defroster being on could shatter the window.

So, was curious if anyone has heard this, or had any problems before I get the tint done.

Great site as well, I've learned quite a bit already in the 24 hours I've been on the site!

Ive never heard of the back window shattering from the defroster being on if the window is tinted. Im sure someone can chime in here and give you a better answer then me though lol

Still safe, no hassle with my 20% tints. When cops see me, theyre checking my car out more then looking at what they can ticket me for. I always see them doing double and triple takes.. lol

My one buddy who has a supercharger was pulled over by a cop just to he can say "can you tint your windows already.. your car sounds awesome, it needs to look to the look"...

jealous bro. I want my tint back.LOL

Where in Jersey did you go? I'm up north and have used a different place for my last two cars. So just interested since this will be done soon.

I got my tints done a LeeBerbs automotive tint in my town Hillsborough NJ.
