Busted the right axle shifting from 1-2.

How did you do that?

DRG BSTN SQUIRREL 06-19-2013 09:05 AM

Full throttle playing with shifting and right when I hit second and let the clutch out..... SNAP!

Ouch!

Yeah praying it does not happen everytime I shift. Did you have some wheel hop at all?

Axles are a huge weakness on these cars. And if your tires get real sticky boom even more. 1LE guys have broken many axles on this site.

Also did you have the traction control off? I leave me on hoping it will help from busting one open. With a 3.91 rear end on my car I worry even more.

I have the BMR tie rods and toe rods. There is no wheel hop at all. And I did have it in competition mode.

It looks like the BMR parts are working for you then but that factory axle definitely was not up to the task. Broken parts just means that it is time to upgrade with something bigger and better.
