Painted calipers w/decals
This topic pops up every now and then. " How well will painted calipers and decals hold up?" So, I thought I'd show you how mine are doing. I painted them on the car using simple high heat engine enamel and clear coat. Scuffed em with 200 grit, taped em, 2 coat paint, added decals, then 2 coat clear. Did this in April. So far, so good.

Looks good. Where did you get the decals?

you can get the Chevrolet one on ebay...got mine there for like 6$ and they're holding up fine

Looks great! That is definitely on my to do list.
You said you painted the calipers on the car. Did you paint them in normal position. If so could you get reasonable access to them? I definitely don't want to disconnect the brake hoses, but I was thinking about unbolting the calipers to get better access for painting. |
love it.

Very impressed.
Note to self: Do this! |

I used the same ebay vendor for the "CHEVROLET" and "Brembo" decals as Avenging Orange. However, when I received them, the first thing I noticed was they are ballooned in the middle (the middle letters are bigger than the first and last letters) and I thought they looked funny. I didn't plan to use them until I saw your finished product and although they're not exactly like the factory lettering, it's really not that noticable. I might just give it a try.
