At the risk of being jumped on by those who self-police the forums: I think the 'vert is due it's own thread at least and possible its own board for discussion.

In either case, here's a thread to talk about the Convertible.

whuz wrong widda vert?

Hopefully, pre-orders will begin sometime towards the end of October. RUMORS have it that some specs and pricing may be out 1st to 2nd week of October. There might be an early debut at SEMA, else LA autoshow towards end of November will be first view. Now you know "almost" everything I know or think I know about the Vert :)

What's interesting is that people are talking like it may be a 2012 model, which I doubt given it's street date, but that'd be awesome as the '12 gets a revamped interior according to...well....rumors.

I'm very interested to hear more on paint as well, since the demise of ABM ended one of my favorite color choices. Here in W. WA, it's cloudy all the bloody time (yeah, I'm still getting a 'vert so I'm not that smart) so all the darker colors end up looking too dark to me.

I'm in line to get the 2SS 'vert as soon as ordering opens and despite naysayers, I'm planning on loving it to death! :)

If a good blue (think Lemans or Marina) isn't offered, it will be custom painted. (I already have a IBM TrailBlazer and don't want another with the same color ~ would look weird in my driveway).

will the vert cost more? by how much?

I cant wait to have a Z28 vert in my garage lol

The 'vert should add another 3-4k to the price tag, similar to the Mustang as far as I know.
