Looks great! Nice job on the mods! How come you didn't get the NPP exhaust?

Car was already enroute to the dealer. NPP wasn't a deal breaker for me, and I got the car much quicker.

Wow, haven't done anything in awhile..almost couldn't find my journal.
In any case, I've been fighting the flu all week and as it was a fairly nice day outside, I felt the need to get out of the house and finally finish a few projects. First up was the JDP clutch reservoir kit that has been sitting on my shelf. I've kept putting it off, and finally decided to get it over with. Attachment 607757 Before, I'm sure you all know what this looks like: Attachment 607758 And after: Attachment 607759 Attachment 607760 It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not a lot of room to work, but manageable. The hardest part for me was getting the hose off of the firewall connection. Everything else is pretty straigt forward. I should have done this much sooner. |

Also, to give myself more room to install the clutch reservoir, I removed the strut tower brace as I had plans for that as well.
Before: Attachment 607768 Attachment 607769 I was initially planning to completely polish the entire piece. But I changed my mind simply because I've been removing all of the chrome from the car. So no reason to then add something completely shiny and chrome like under the hood. I ended up painting the ends satin black and then cleaning and polishing the center. Attachment 607770 Attachment 607771 It still needs some work. It has a couple of places that were scratched/marred from the factory and a simple polish wasn't getting them removed. I need to pick up some new polishing pads for my dremel and then finish it off. But overall, not too bad. And installed with new stainless allen head bolts: Attachment 607772 Attachment 607773 Bolt size: M8 - 1.25 x 35mm |
