LFX is under appreciated

Yesterday I drove about an hour and a half each way from/to San Mateo, CA to/from Salinas, CA on US101.

My 2LT/RS was firmly planted to the road and made high speeds smooth as hell.
I was surprised when I turned the HUD up to see just how fast I was going at times.

The LFX was very responsive and passed anything I needed it to -- quickly.

With the top dropped, the handling (passing formation drivers) and speed/acceleration of the LFX, my son and I had a blast.

Thanks GM/Chevrolet for an awesome day.

I too have to agree. I swooped by and picked my best friend up today for a ride. He's owned Camaros from 60's and up. He was just as impressed as I have been with the car. Even up to 118 when it shut off. Still smooth.

I have to agree as well. Since I have owned mine I have changed many minds on how awesome this motor is. Ive hit 141 twice with mine on a private runway.

I also agree. In 5th gear cruising around 2500 rpm the lfx can easily accelerate very quickly passed other cars.:whitevertshift:

I'm just surprised that more people don't find their way into the LFX forums?

Is it because the LFX comes fairly maxed out from the factory and cannot be added or modded like the 2011 and earlier cars?

The lfx is a great engine 323 hp and rated at like 270 something tq for a v6 is nice. The problem is our cars are such pigs. As someone else said if our cars weighed about what a nissan 370z weighed it would be a rocket ship lol.

I love my LFX.

Oh you can definitely modify the LFX too. Intake, ported throttle body, exhaust, high flow cats, and tune. Just can't do headers or a ported intake manifold.

Agreed when I got my hands a 2012 the first time I fell in love with it with the direct injection and VVT and integrated exhaust and I'm a smog tech I'm learning more on this engine it's amazing technology it gets a underestimate on how it works but all I can say is 91 octane it's his best friend n that's nearly looking at Pandora's box

I love my LFX. I honestly haven't even contemplated a v8. No matter what sport it is I always find myself wanting bigger and better but with my car it's just so livable and still sooo fun I haven't had that burning desire for the v8. Not saying it's never going to happen and not say the v8 isn't sweet but my cars my DD and it just does everything I want it to.
