Stainless Works Headers & Exhaust

I thought I would give my impressions from a walk through the owner of Stainless Works gave me as well as a second one that Bill did as well. Have to admit now, though, I was pretty excited getting my Camaro done here and am certain that I missed several things as I walked around the place.
First off, it is big. Several buildings with common walls. I thought this was going to be, well just a large pole barn because they don't show any pics of it on their site.
This isn't a glorified Midas shop.
I work in skilled trades and previously worked as a welder/fabricator. This place blew me away. I wanted to start making something, anything, with the high tech equipment they had in place.
They need a vid showing how they differ from some manufacturers to better explain what they do in manufacturing their products. They have a $75,000 CAD (well, they have two) that is used in designing their header's bends and I suppose some of the exhaust. I watched on the Speed Channel another company making an initial header for an application. It was how I thought SW did it before visiting them, bend a little, trim a little, tac a bend in place, repeat, all by hand till it was done. Very time consuming. That isn't exactly how SW does it. And SW bends on a CNC operated Mandel bender. Now I understand some wouldn't understand how they used computers to aid in the design or what a CNC is or laser cutters and why they do not crush bend, but when you see it, well this stuff is high tech to how it used to be performed (and how some still do it). It is much easier to ensure consistent bends and maintain quality control to the customer so it will fit correctly. AND IT IS DONE IN 304 STAINLESS! All I can say, I am very excited in having SW products installed on my Camaro.
