Z Vert?

So now that the Convertible is on it's way and cars will be built soon the focus will shift to the Z28. That said do you think they will eventually offer a Convertible Z28 or will they just do a coupe?

Buffnshine 12-03-2010 02:28 PM

yes but they need to be introduced at the same time, I see this as a 2012 Pace Car Edition

camaroitalia 12-03-2010 02:50 PM

Lets just get the coupe on the roads lol then we'll talk convertible

CamaroFreako 12-03-2010 02:53 PM

Convertibles camaros are really ugly........

Camaro_Corvette 12-03-2010 02:54 PM

I just don't see this happening. But I wouldn't mind it if I was wrong. :D

I'm happy with what I have :).....all the rest will just be my eye candy.

radz28 12-03-2010 03:58 PM

I'm 1, 2, and 4, but I definately think they should offer one. I'm loving the drophead the more I see it!!! I don't get one, but I think the market is there :D

Never been a fan of high horse convertibles but yep - it'll most likely happen and at the same time.

lil_red_v6 12-03-2010 07:16 PM

would be nice to see but i dont see it happening.

v6sonoma 12-05-2010 05:54 AM

I think it's very possible. The shelby comes in a vert and I don't think the Mustangs platform is as stiff as the Camaro's. I would love to see it happen. Of course I'd like to see the coupe hit the dealer lots first!

Doess anyone else feel convertables are really more like "Sports Cars" and hard tops or coupes are muscle cars?

Albion 12-06-2010 07:41 AM

Yessirree.Nail on the head.....sports cars and muscle cars should be classed separately, well they are in my mind anyway!

It's all semantics. We could debate the pony car/ muscle car designation but generally age determines which you think it is. The first gen had a drop top along with the mustang and others so I don't think it's a factor. Just an option. This (picture) is undeniably a muscle car.

Apparently, Callaway is doing a convertible model at 572 HP based on the SS. Seems reasonable that GM could do a Z28 too. Who knows what they will really do though? Certainly not me!
