SLP recently showcased its ZL575 Supercharged 2010 Camaro at the Carlisle Nationals this past weekend.
On this Camaro are some deliciously unique modifications.

What the SLP ZL575 gets you is the following :

-- 2300 Series TVS High-Output Supercharger for the Camaro V8 (550hp automatic / 575 hp manual)
-- axle-back exhaust system
-- cold air induction system
-- sports suspension lowering 1" in front / .8" in rear
-- RTM Z28-style hood with functional heat extractor scoop
-- 1st gen Camaro style rear deck spoiler
-- custom 20" 5-spoke red line wheels with machine face and ZL centercaps
-- rear tail light panel blackout
-- heritage-style SS badging
-- rear quarter vent gill insert decals in flat black
-- *optional ZR1 clutch / 3:45 gear / Brembo brake upgrade

It goes without saying that we are impressed with any forced induction option, but we're also impressed by the
custom look of this car, especially the functional Z28 style hood which required the filling in of the factory "mail slot" in the front fascia and the custom wheels.

Checked out SLPCamaro.com? They have pics up of the car and finally, all those who wanted an SS on the front of the grille like the first gens can SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! I am only posting this since I searched aimlessly on the site and found no user-submitted pics of this yet.

Turns out they finally completed the prototype model. On the frontal picture, you can see they designed sort of a backing to fit into the indention left by the bowtie - I am sure the final piece will be a little more color matched to the grille.

Ugh... so unfair about the limited production on these things. I want that spoiler so bad. They'd make a fortune off it, it's the First-Gen-ish one everyone's been craving.

zebra 06-30-2009 07:15 AM

gotta say... the SS looks great, but that crappy mail slot filler looks horrendous! :barf:

they should let Hylton have their car for a few days

Apparently the final product will be functional.

Oh! Sorry about that, you're right. Yeah... considering all the other fabricating they've done, they might as well have filled it in the right way, you know?

Scott@Bjorn3D 06-30-2009 07:32 AM

Well if the final air intake was functional it would rock. I myself would like to do a Lingenfelter in a year or 2. But no Lingenfelter badgers, I would love for it to be a sleeper.

LadiesMan217 06-30-2009 07:36 AM

I wish they used the current SS font. That font just doesn't work with this gen.

Also, I'd LOVE to get my hands on that spoiler!

Hopefully some other aftermarket companies will chime in and make parts like these, since yes, I'd also prefer a more contemporary font for the 'SS'. But these pics give a good idea how it'd look and I think it looks mighty fine, myself.

Red Hot SS 06-30-2009 07:58 AM

I dig it...I wouldnt do it, but I like it

2010 2-Tone 06-30-2009 08:03 AM

I do like the idea that they filled in the mailslot though (makes the hood look much better w/ that scoop). I would like to see what a shop could do though to fill it in and blend it a little better .

smbluelimited05 06-30-2009 08:22 AM

it looks like they copied the Z28 hood

Stooph 06-30-2009 08:49 AM

I'm curious but in general how do you know what color your badges will be? I ordered a CGM with Black Interior and I've seen red SS badges and Silver SS badges. When I ordered the Maro at the dealer I wasn't asked "what color would you like your badges to be?"

RLHMARINES 06-30-2009 09:02 AM

your SS badge will be red if you ordered the RS package and silver if you did not

slenning 06-30-2009 09:10 AM

You don't get to choose the color, well not exactly:) The SS badges are red when you add the RS package.
Sorry I see I'm late with the answer, I'm a slow typer.

I  the hood scoop !
Attachment 35460
Attachment 35461

as well as the higher lip spoiler too! :w00t:
Attachment 35462 actually, this spoiler looks better than the Dove Tail to me.

However, I would plan on purchasing a LT front bumper to complete the look so that the "mail slot" wouldn't kill the overall appearance.
These, however, will be something that I will consider for year 2!

The IMPALA "SS" logo ( shown in silver ) is at least a closer representation to the correct "SS" ( as seen above in red ) used on the Camaro.Attachment 35464 To me, the OLD "SS" has no place on this 5th Gen version!

kozzmo49 06-30-2009 09:47 AM

eh... ill stick with the bowtie.. painted of course

I think about the funtional this hood would be, would be very close to what they've done for the current Corvette.
Attachment 35465
The air travels through the scoop and is distributed to the sides of the engine for cooling and not the air filter as it should be for increased performance.

rharon 06-30-2009 09:55 AM

This spoiler looks great. Does anyone have some info? My car is going to the paint shop for the stripes i would love to get this one before they paint them on.

rharon 06-30-2009 10:01 AM

Just called SLP. NO GO ON THE SPOILER. They said that it will only come on a package car. They are making a different one but no info availible yet. rrrrrrrrrrrrrr

dayvedayve 06-30-2009 10:07 AM

Yeah hood and yeah spoiler. Keep em' coming aftermarket companies.

Andro 06-30-2009 10:24 AM

I gotta piggyback on the the mailslot it just doesn't look right but the rest of the car looks great

JDBeck23 06-30-2009 10:39 AM

Man this is just ridiculous. :mad0260: The first company that will make that spoiler and sell it to the general public will make a BAGILLION dollars. When are these guys gonna learn?! There's gonna be a huge demand for these items.

I myself woudnt mind having the hood with the ram air scoop, but for the price that it would probably go for, I'll pass. But the spoiler is the way it should have come from the factory!!! Are you listening SLP??? LAY THE SPOILER DOWN AND BACK AWAY SLOWLY! :D

JJ#48Racing 06-30-2009 10:42 AM

I would kill for that spoiler!

linkwpc 06-30-2009 10:42 AM

So.... how much????

ME TOO!!!

nUcLeArEnVoY 06-30-2009 10:44 AM

I'm pretty pissed too. You search all around all the older threads on this forum and you'll see everyone say the same thing: they want a spoiler that is more like the first-gen cars and HERE IT IS. The stock spoiler is too subtle yet the dovetail is a little too extreme (not to mention hearkens to an entirely different generation of Camaro). This OTHER spoiler SLP is apparently working on better look something like this one. They could make a fortune if they mass produced it.

I say keep the hood, mailslot filler, and maybe the wheels unique to the package car. But sell that spoiler to the masses.

shroomjohn 06-30-2009 10:45 AM

Agreed1st gen ss looks horrible on the 5th gen but I love those wheels look like the vert concept sweet!

2010SLVRBULIT 06-30-2009 10:51 AM

rims..bleh..spoiler..yeah, baby!
Order the spoiler now, but WTH is my car?:mad0260:

sooner25 06-30-2009 10:56 AM

The SS on the rear fascia is terrible imo. love the wheels though!

They should have used the front fascia from the non-SS model. Would be much cleaner than trying to fill in the mail slot.

oramac0002 06-30-2009 11:08 AM

Everything that SLP did on the car looks great except the fill in of the mail slot.

khislop007 06-30-2009 11:12 AM

I love the spoiler and the hood! :w00t: They should have did a better job on filling the factory mail slot. :iono:

5GenCamaro.com 06-30-2009 11:13 AM

Great job on the car SLP.

Tactical Z 06-30-2009 11:15 AM

The rims = fail, throw some stock 20'' chromes and paint the chrome things around the tailight, maybe i'd buy it.

radz28 06-30-2009 11:45 AM

That's a nice package there! I love about everything I see.

Grr!!!

Revo1 06-30-2009 11:55 AM

I WANT!!!!!!! Looks amazing! You can keep the wheels tho :barf:

SLP Performance 06-30-2009 11:59 AM

Thanks for the input and nice words folks. The mail slot panel as shown in the photos is a prototype SLA part. The final panel will fit much better and we will make that part available to all.

As for the Hood and Spoiler, we have patents pending and as shown, they will be available on the ZL Packages only.

In a couple of weeks I will be able to show you what the aftermarket Hood and Spoiler will look and I believe you will love it.

I don't get on here much, but we will be watching and taking note of your thoughts and ideas.

Regards,

Team SLP
