Ordered mine today!

Ordered mine today - #7 out of my dealers 21 allotment.

Camaro 2SS
Inferno Orange
Inferno Orange Accent Package
RS Package
Sunroof

If the pricing is correct from the other thread: $38k

I read I think on that thread about a rumored $5k rebate on pre-orders, can anyone confirm?

I can confirm that there probably is NO WAY IN HELL that there will be a $5k rebate on preorders.

Did you get an agreement for MSRP? PA is definitely close enough for me to drive to. Everyone here in the tri-state area is gouging. :(

bluecobaltkid 10-13-2008 07:54 PM

Congrats on yout order! I might order my LS soon.

ZZcamaro 10-13-2008 08:31 PM

I got a written gaurantee of MSRP and I am in PA....

My question is this... My dealer is putting my all orders in tomorrow, I am first on the list.. I want my order number so I can track it, is that what I ask for, my customer/order number?

Also they seemed to think the SS may come out slightly after the V6, is this true? I was pretty sure they would hit the road at the same time.

Straight off of chevylaunch.com:

What about model constraints – is the SS model expected to be constrained?

All SS models come equipped with 6.2L V8 engine. All LS and LT models are equipped with the highly efficient, powerful 3.6L V6 engine. The results of our early intender survey indicate the majority of the demand will be for the 3.6L V6, however, the plant is preparing for a 50/50 production split between V8 and V6 engines.

I did get an agreement, but my dealer is in MD - and actually they said they were only doing it since my family and myself have been loyal customers since 1989 - sounds like they are going to gouge most people except loyal customers.
