You'll be waiting till you find one with about 30k miles on it then.

More like 3 years.

I would say $55,000. Yeah, It's fast but it has less technology than the LS. I think they could have got rid of weight else where, such as rear seats. I'd rather loss rear seats than a sound system. Because if i'm really that concerned about weight I would not seats because passengers add a lot of weight.

davidcroft 05-12-2013 08:56 AM

I'm already locked into my 1SS 1LE @ $36.7K. It doesn't get better than that for a track bargain.....and I'm not a big enough track geek to buy a Z/28. These are gonna be to a road course what a COPO is to a dragstrip. Flat out bitchin' but flat out EXCLUSIVE.

Let's not kid ourselves...90% of Camaro5 won't be able to play in this league (myself included):thumb:

It's going to be in the 60s. No way they can sell it with those wheels and brakes and that engine for that price

FINALLYSATISFIED 05-12-2013 10:21 AM

I cant justify to spend over $54k which is for the base ZL1 for a Z/28. It's a refresh model and to add to that shaving only 300lbs is a bit ridiculous. But your paying for the hallowed name. So I'll stick with the better overall value and practicality, the ZL1.

Less technology??? :dizzy: You mean fewer electronic gadgets. The track tech is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr superior to many cars.

And by the way what is it really missing besides an upgraded stereo system? :noidea:

said over $60500.pretty shure it will sell for around $65k ...
it's going to be a small market and exclusive buy for each owners.

Agreed. Fabulous deal...on a car a Chevy salesman can actually sell, readily, and make a buck on, today.

Agreed...especially when trying to stitch together a paycheck. Best to sell something you AND your customer can actually do business on, rather than "selling a dream" that may or may not arrive...'way off in the future.

BUT: For those rare ones who do NOT want to "compromise", isn't it great that something like the ZEE will be along soon?

2cnd chance 05-12-2013 07:20 PM

Gonna need better brakes and suspension for another $5,000. - $6,000.

And apparently your gonna tub the rear and need wider wheels in the rear $$$$

Firefighter 05-12-2013 07:28 PM

A souped up 1LE will be hard pressed to beat a Z/28 for less money.

With saying that a 1LE with an LS7 and bigger brakes and some other supporting upgrades would have made most people happy.

Sent from my friggin Droid by two thumbs using Tapatalk 2 or whatever the ish it's called....

...I think in the other thread, JusticePete thought for 75K-80K they'd be giving them away...so I dunno...keeping my guess at 100k lol....

2cnd chance 05-12-2013 10:01 PM

No i have not, this will be the base price, as per Al Oppenheiser.

We’ve got one speaker in the car and the only reason that we have one speaker in the car is because you need a speaker to have the seat belt chime audible to the driver. You can option up, if you desire, the air conditioning and a base radio system. We have been very strategic in where we have taken mass out of the car.
so add 5-7K to put back AC and radio and where close to 100K.

If thats the case, I cant see the car being worth that price even if the track times are low 7:20s Can you post the link where Al O specifies base around $100k?
