Should I be proud about beating an Infinity G35?
We did two passes at the track and I easily beat him twice. Is the G35 coupe worth getting excited over? By the way, raced an SS, you guys show no mercy.

Yeah, I'd be happy with the win even if I was in an SS! That car is no slouch :headbang:
However, do you know what engine it had? That would make a huge difference in terms of respect points. |
The one with 315hp. We talked afterwards. Beautiful car, those infinities are.

Yea you should be proud. Last I checked those cars were good for a high 13 to low 14...like a 13.9-14.1 bone stock. So you are probably a better driver than him.

And OP, I'm sure you'll be told this soon enough, but you must have been racing one of the "slow" G35's. The "fast" G35's beat up on Camaro SS's (even though these "fast" G35's test in the 13.9 -14.1 range). |
auto g35 coupes run mid 14's in decent conditions, 6 speed is low 14's with maybe 13.9.... bolt on g35 coupes get high 13's at best. They actually weigh more then the sedans due to the side impact crash beams.
Nice kill, the first car I raced and beat in my v6 6 speed accord(with paper tags still) was a g35 coupe(at the track of course)... they get so butt hurt lol. |
A win is a win.

Beating the infinity was defiantly a pleasure but racing the SS was the highlight of the night. That car is a beast. It was slightly modded. Exhaust and intake. But to hear the rumble of the exhaust before launch and the car as it power shifted through the gears was the icing on the cake. I love my V6 to death but next car black SS.
