Bought Brembos, how do the pads look?
Can anyone tell me how much life I have left on these pads? 50%? How long will these last me? Also will used brake pads have the same feel as new ones? Thank you. As much info as possible is appreciated.

Based on the position of the wear warning squeaker, I would say you a lot of life left on those pads.

I'd say about 70% remaining.

Ok cool. Thanks. Just painted the calipers and I was hoping the pads were fine. Here they are after paint. Gonna clear them after I get my decals.

anymore opinions?

three items:
1) Make sure there is no paint on the caliper where it abuts the knuckle. You want flat clean aluminum. 2) That top wear sensor looks off. I don't think it will squeal until way late. 3) My brake pads (aftermarket- Hawk) only have one wear sensor per wheel. Maybe OEM Brembos have two? If not... |
It's only $200 for some Hawk HPS aftermarket pads +$10 per rotor to get them turned at a local shop.
But meh, if you want to ware out the stock pads first that's cool. |
