The car does not control it. With the NPP in a box kit we have available you control it loud or quite via a remote as seen in the second video (post 45)

patrickt 06-15-2012 10:29 PM

if anyone is going to the GM nationals and would like me to bring something please email me at patrick@gmpartshouse.com

jeffgtx 06-16-2012 11:35 AM

I need some education here.

so the npp in a box routes from the engine to the exhaust and would control the bi modal setting as would a zl1 based on how hard you are pushing the car.

the nap includes the m2w system so you can override it with a controller.

but, if you don't want to use the controller, the bimodal would still switch on its own based on what it was getting from the npp tube running from the ls3.

do i understand the npp system correctly?

what if i buy this system without the NPP. can i manually set the system with my hands before i start the car and it will stay there the entire ride? or does it just flop around?

You are correct on most parts but the NPP in a box will not auto control the exhaust, and all controls are manual by the remote control. If you would like to get this and not get the NPP in a box we also do sell a manual kit to where it is not electronic adjustable

Thanks Patrick. Why does the npp get routed to the engine if it is not getting input on what to do? Is that supplying the oomph to push the valves? I guess I thoUght they were electronic servos.

it goes to the engine to aquire vacuum as the mode valves are vacuum operated. You could avoild going to the engine if you installed an electic vaccuum pump

Ok. Thanks. I wasn't quite clear on how all this works.

Now that the 2013 SS with NPP is arriving at dealers, is there a part number for the rear diffuser?

Whats the price difference on this catback and the one on the 2013 2SS with the LS3. I have that dual mode on my 13 and I think the only difference is the tips.. Also how much is the 2013 SS diffuser for the dual tips.
