Vert Exhaust Help
I am looking to put new exhaust on my 2011 2SS Convertible (L99). I would like a system that has a nice deep throaty rumble, but is not so loud that I have radio/phone/conversation issues. I would prefer a cat back system, and from what I have been reading on the thread, it seems that most of the installs discussed have been on hardtops so if any vert owners have input I would love to get their input/suggestions. Thanks!

Do you have any intention on adding headers or high flow cats/off road pipes? If you answered no, ask yourself again, do you have any intention, at all, of adding headers....
The reason I ask is it will radically change any exhaust you do now. |
Just adding headers is a great way to add some sound and some nice power numbers as well. The stock mufflers will sound a lot better but keep it in check. If you just want a nice rumble that works perfect with a vert look no further then Solo Performance. They have a catback designed for the vert and Solo is always drone free too. Great set up!

Solo is nice. They call it a "sound on demand" system. At idle and cruise, it's pretty mild, but when you get on it, it will sound really mean. Sounds wonderful when paired with high flow cats, or even better, headers.

My parts are in my sig. I wanted the same as you do: Sounds tough, but doesn't rattle your brain loose. I love my system and it only took me about an hour to install in my garage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMh7WZBpTTY

I have considered headers, but they would go on at a later time.

Dynomax VT axleback is the bomb for a quiet cruise. Has a deep idle and comes alive when you floor it.
