Question about VMAX Throttle Body

Hi

So today, i was going to buy the throttle body but I came out with a problem.

let me explain: the whole price of it is 350, but they refund you 200 if you send your throttle body back, but I have a big issue and is that I live in Colombia and sending it back would take lots of days, not to say weeks and I remember reading (don't remember were) that the time limit is 7 days.

Would there be any problem if due to the long distance, it takes more time arriving there? I want this mod so bad and don't want this to be a stepback.

thanks!

You would need to discuss your situation with the vendor you purchase from and find out their specific policy, and if they would grant you some leeway on the time frame.

There's also the option of buying a new stock TB (80$) and sending it in (keeping yours) and waiving the core charge like i did.

Talk to the vendor. It should be easily arranged. Try ApexChase.

Don't forget about all your shipping costs (they can add up...at least I like to take that into consideration in price, anyway).

:word: Your best bet would be to get with a vendor and explain your situation. Once you got that down check out some online places like Parts taxi to find a Stock Throttle body and have it shipped to the vendor of choice. That would supplement the core charge and actually be cheaper than paying the 200 they would charge if you kept yours. And then once your receive your ported one you can keep your stock one just in case.

We can set you up with a core also, we have some GM dealer hookups for the GM brand new ones.

But as Phil said, where's the $80 cores (We can save on shipping Phil, and send them all to one place LOL)

Ok it didn't let me show my cart but if you do search for throttle body inside 2010 v6 Camaro for throttle body, it'll show up for 82$

Ya I see cores on ebay for under $100 all the time. I know one guy bought a core, sent it straight to apex chase then out of the country. It's not cheap, but its not crazy.

$122.79 there for the LFX TB. Wonder why it's $40 more? Did they change it? I thought they were all the same...

EDIT: Ahh, I see now. Under the description there's a dropdown menu that shows the $82 one for the 2010's is a "wholesaler closeout." If you select the "regular inventory" option, it's $142.

2012+ Throttle Bodies are different than the 2010-11's.

Thanks for the information guys, $82 is a superb price.

Becareful what you buy. Those are cheaper private label cores not GM OEM cores even though on top says "acdelco part number". You do see these as "replacement parts" on Ebay but they are not GM OEM cores.

I dont accept those in for OEM core trades or have them ported and send them out to you guys for usage. That's why I tell guys it has to be an GM OEM core. Its not worth the "misunderstanding" later.

Now if you buy one of those cores and wanted that throttle body ported, it can done, but it just takes a little longer.
