OUTstanding! Exactly the direction I want to go, just maybe with a 2.55 upper too.
Well done, Ted.

What was total timing advance at WOT with 91 octane?

AMMUSCLE 09-16-2013 09:53 PM

Nice job on 91 octane.:hail:

What can we get if we run 93 oct ? Will we get more power and can it be tuned for use with Torco?

My money is on less than 16 degrees.

Well done, Ted.

The 2.55 combined with this set up puts the blower at MAX Speed and the octane available at the pump will not tolerate it very well it is what we call diminishing returns.

We like the large upper pulley for max belt traction.

Timing varies with RPM not a fixed number.

Thank you for choosing JRE, We were excited to see what this package does on 91 octane.

Yes typically 20 more RWHP on 93.

Ted, in your experience is the 18% lower pulley the most optimum on pump gas in this type of package then?
In other words, going to a 9.55 pulley would allow for less timing thus no significant gain in power....just more blower speed and heat?

I believe it is a very good combo that will have Sustaining HP not just a 5 second dyno number.

The faster you turn the blower the less time you can make the power as IAT Climbs faster.

The small size of the internal intercooler is the Limit on how much power you can make for how long.

No Heat exchanger or reservoir will make a difference.

Ted.

Thanks to James he had the same question and was willing to purchase a second tune for 93

Here are the results of same package and tune set up for 93 octane.

This dyno sheet is a back to back comparison of 91 vs 93 tunes and fuel.

594 RWHP 568 RWTQ

Ted

Wow, you guys just seem to amaze me with customer service and the quality work you guys put out.
All I can say is thank you, thank you.:thanks:

This morning I called and asked the question can you get me more on 93 octane and give me a second tune for my Car and SCT to store. I know how busy you are and you had already pulled my car off the dyno, you told me yes you would fit me in and get this done, even as booked as you were.

Same day you squeeze these numbers out and really impressive ones at that.

Things like this are what I heard about your shop, that brought me here in the first place.

I now have 2 tunes in my SCT for this car. One for 91 and one for 93.
Talk about the best of both worlds.:thumb:
Again thank you.
James
