Magnet Ride Control

So right upfront, I am going to say, I am not impressed with it at all. I have owned this 2014 ZL1 for a month and a half and I was hoping that it would settle in and softness up even alittle, but nope. Does anyone else feel or think the same way? I feel like it is all Hype, unless you are on a smooth track and then I would say, I prefer it, other than that I bet in six months every bolt in the front end is loose and has taken a severe beaten from the constant jarring because the suspension does not give an inch when it hits a bump. Opinions?.

I think the suspension system makes the car. It is worth every penny in my opinion.

Agreed. I have gone around the same roads several times in different suspension settings and I can definitely tell a difference.

Drive an SS and you will definitely be able to tell. My friend and I switched cars and we both agreed how smooth the ZL1 was compared to the SS, or better yet drive a GT500.

You might want to make sure the dealer removed the front spring spacers. Those if left in will cause the front suspension to be stiffer than usual. I had a 2010 SS and I can tell you that the ZL1 rides a lot smother.

If you haven't driven a non mag ride 5th gen before hand then you wont understand how good it really is. Mines lowered and still feels great in tour mode

I love the ride. Worth every penny.

Tour mode is your friend. PTM for the track

I have both an SS and ZL1 and there is a huge difference. I wouldn't give it up.

Exactly what I was thinking, if your being bounced around check for the spacers still in the front springs.

The ride is great.. you can drive soft over the road and feel less from bumps or drive hard... i think its really good this suspension

This must be your first sports car.

Owned a '13 for 7 months and I like it. You can totally tell between tour + sport and especially in the PTM modes. It sticks to the road like glue and in PTM3 it will back-road hoon with an Evo or BMW right now. I'm with the other posters-look at the front springs and see if those big yellow blocks are in the springs. Those are shipping blocks and are supposed to be removed before the car is sold. They are supposed to put them in your glove box for you.
