running 1/8 mile today

Going to a track to run test & tune 1/8 mile today. I am going to Colonial Beach Dragway in VA. Its a nice cool day around 50 degrees and the track is at 50ft above sea level. Hopefully I can get a few good 60's.

AWESOME!!! on stock tires I got my best 60' with a full tank of gas.

Hey I saw you live in Mechanicsville and waned to know who does the mods to your car. I also in Mechanicsville. Good luck at the track today.

Check out my sig for mods...that's it. My car ran really well as these are my first track runs after I put in my upgraded heat exchanger. DA was -393ft. Air temp 51, track elevation is 50ft, and barometer was 30.02. The car was hitting a slight torque limit on a hard launch/dead hook but it didn't slow it down much. It was a very minor hesitation. If the car spun slightly it didn't hesitate at all. Here is my best run:

60' 1.6158
330 4.6270
1/8 7.1052@99.87

I had a few goals and I met all but 1. I wanted 100mph in the 1/8, 1.5x 60', and a 7.0x et. On a separate run I managed a 1.5906 60' but the car hit a torque limit somewhere in the middle of first gear and it ran a 7.1517@99.32. First pass right off the road with a slight spin it ran 7.1449@100.11 with a 1.6425 60'. All of my runs were consistent between 7.10(three times) and 7.1517(on the run with my best 60'). Feels great but I'm lacking the power to squeak a 10.99 in the 1/4. I think it has an 11.05 in it and that's it. I will keep trying, I promise.

I did all of my mods myself except the computer tuning. There is a great guy here in town that does a wonderful tune

Excellent times, I think there would have been a 10.9 out of the car (given the mods) as those ZL1's really keep pulling so hard after the 1/8 mile. Just humble observation.

Very nice #'s for having bolt ons

I did not cool down at all. I took time to adjust air pressure and let it rip. A hot lap didn't even hurt times...all within .05 sec. It was only 50 degrees so I could put my had on the supercharger after a run and it was only warm to the touch.

Wow nice times! 10's for sure.
