C5F III: Mobile Dyno!

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...0&d=1329946634

The fun keeps building!

Camaro5.com and Back Street Performance are proud to offer you (the attendees of Camaro5 Fest III) access to a mobile dynamometer! For just $50.00, you can have Back Street Performance run three consecutive base-line readings, and receive a data sheet on your Camaro’s power output. For $10.00 more, the Air/Fuel ratio can be read as well.

Have Back Street Performance strap your Camaro on the dyno to see how much power you are really putting on the ground. Back Street’s chassis dynamometer is a Dynojet model 248. It will accurately measure your Horsepower and Torque at the wheels.

On Friday and Saturday, from 1:15p to 5:00p, the dyno will be reserved specially for people interested in purchasing baseline dyno readings (and/or A/F ratios) only.

Any questions, post'em up here!

I am interested, but how do we reserve a spot?!?

Tysen 07-24-2012 10:12 AM

Interested. Now I just need to win a free CAI so I can see how much my HP improves over my baseline. Is there a sign-up or is it first come basis?

The ramps to get on it have a very small incline. I was able to get onto their dyno when my front end was lowered 1.5" - you guys will be fine. I promise.

I believe it is a first come first serve basis, but that's my guess. Joe can give a definite answer when he gets online.

There will be a block of time, (1:15p - 5p) in the afternoons that the dyno will be available exclusively for baseline runs. Beyond that, Rich from Back Street will handle reservations, or however he'd like to do that.

Back Street Performance is very proud to be part of the Camaro 5 fest. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and meeting a bunch of new friends.
In answer to some of the questions about being able to get your cars on the dyno. We do full race cars all the time including formula cars and sports racers. We have never had a car we could not get on the dyno. As far as a sign up list at this time we plan to run the cars based on first come first serve, so when you see us stop by and we will get you on a sign up list.
We have over 45,000 pulls on our dyno using it for tuning and base line runs. We do compliance testing for NASA and tune race cars at the SCCA Run Offs. Please contact me if you have any other questions about the dyno.
Thanks Rich
