My background story....(Hey, it's my thread!) Well, my Camaro kind of got started because of 2 Trans Am's! :sm0:I happen to own a 1999 30th Anniversary Convertible WS6 Trans Am with Pace Car stripes with only 11k miles and also a Sunset Orange Metallic WS6 Convertible Trans Am with 53k miles. Now you might ask what do these two rare Trans Am's have to do with this guy buying a Camaro? Well, the answer is simple; I was tired of having two great sports cars that I couldn't drive for fear a racking up the miles! And with Pontiac having gone the way of the Tucker (with I hope the same end results!), this just furthered my fear of driving them! So I finally decided to buy a car I could actually drive! And the new Camaro fit the bill perfectly. And while I'm not like a lot of ppl and hate Ford, I just liked the Camaro better than the Mustang. So having just bought my wife a new Avalanche LTZ 4X4, it was my turn for a new car, and on March 10, 2012 I ordered my Camaro.

First thing I did was have the windows tinted 20% and then removed the factory side badging and gold bowties! Replaced those with the old school script Camaro and flags and the Orange Bowties from RPI Designs.

Next thing I did was add the Ported Throttle body and Catch Can from Rx in IOM to match the future stripes and then Summit White Splash guards and IOM engine details from RPI Design.

Diane, I don't know yet. We usually go to my families lake house for the holidday w/e, so I'm not sure. Where is it again?

I also figured out pretty quickly that the back up camera was pretty much useless at night, so I decided to replace the stock back-up lights with the Oracle High Powered LED Back-up lights! What a HUGE difference these made!
Also, while I had the back bumper cover off, I went ahead and spray painted those big ugly silver mufflers flat black and I think it made a big improvement in looks!

And FINALLY!!!! The stripes were put on yesterday 5/15/2012 by Accent Window Tinting in McDonough, GA! They had my car from 9am until 8:30 that night! But I think it turned out beautifully!! Really makes the car come together and gives it a finished look! :happyanim:

I think I saw you today. I was coming back from Macon and stopped at exit 221, I think! Were you out today in the Camaro? Funny!

F-body Gathering is at the Marriott NW in Atlanta. Right near the intersection of I-285 and I-75 N.

PS, you really should get a new exhaust, those mufflers are really heavy and look like suitcases ;)

Looking good! Love white verts! I didn't think there were any ported throttle bodies made for the 12's yet...? Was it a package with the catch can?

Roll_the_Dice 05-17-2012 02:24 PM

Oops, nevermind...I just realized you have a V8, not a V6...
