Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible Sells Out in 3 Minutes

Reported on HOMEPAGE.

DETROIT – In just three minutes earlier today, customers claimed all 100 of the special edition 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertibles prepared exclusively for the annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. These new owners claimed their Neiman Marcus Edition cars via a special telephone reservation process, a few hours after the car appeared on NBC’s Today Show.

Only 100 special edition convertibles will be built, each offering luxury appointments inspired by Neiman Marcus combined with the legendary performance of the Camaro SS. The new owners will take delivery of their special edition cars in the spring of 2011, shortly after the new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro arrives in dealerships.

The Neiman Marcus Edition is defined by its exclusive Deep Bordeaux exterior color, accented by subtle, “ghosted” rally stripes. The exterior color is complimented by a matching fabric top and windshield frame finished in matte silver, both also exclusive to the Neiman Marcus edition.

The Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible has a retail price of $75,000. For more information on the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, please visit: www.neimanmarcus.com/christmasbook.

All Neiman Marcus Edition Camaro Convertibles will be SS models with a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine. The 100 future owners who made reservations today chose between the 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Let's hope that the production numbers are 29, 900 to 30,000; Make the sneaky early ordering bastards wait till the end of production instead of the rest of us:mad0259: Probably NOT going to happen and will actually be the reverse; maybe at least all (if any) "kinks" will be out of the system by then (Sorry Super 60. NOt implying anything). Oh well....a fool and his money...:)

Perhaps but in 40 years no one will want your, well you know. This car has paint, an interior, and a top that are exclusive to it. It costs money to make sure they last through a 3 year 36,000 warranty and with only 100 of them thats a lot of cost to spread around on very few cars.

and for another 15K you can have a edible ginger bread "house" :)
