I am ready but with the HP bump and interior changes due for 2012 I will be holding plus I want to know if the vert will be offered with the Z28 trim level or just the LT & SS trim level (I know for 2011 just the LT & SS)

love it. Super nice

v6sonoma 10-25-2010 01:18 PM

I love how the top gets concealed nicely when it's down. It makes it look really clean. I can't wait to see it in operation.

Thought I read somewhere that a 1LT would start at $30,995

CyberGamaro 10-25-2010 03:34 PM

Is there a powered top hiding under there?

OVERPAR73 10-25-2010 05:05 PM

I'm curious to see how easily that top goes down and buttons up so nicely. It looks really clean. If it works as well as it looks, it will be the best convertible of all the "muscle/pony" cars.

youngoliver 10-25-2010 10:41 PM

awesome! but il stick with my coupe still

Z28RockStar 10-25-2010 11:18 PM

It's a beauty, . . still think ima have to wait on teh Z28! :)

CamaroScotty 10-26-2010 08:35 AM

As I said before, if they are in SHOWROOMS by March, that means the dealer ordered for the dealership, and decided not to order for customers. Why? First on the lot = BIG MARK UP.

Thanks for the delete!

Great point Scotty. So hard to imagine how customer service falls to the wayside of the almighty dollar... I've been talking to my dealer for so long (years) about this model and they won't commit to anything except saying "trust me, your first and we won't mark it up."

I've been seeing a lot of those CTS-V commercials and they are really looking appealing right about now... the longer I wait for this car the more doubt enters into me that I will end up feeling good about the purchase... and that new VCoupe is looking really good.

CamaroScotty 10-26-2010 04:42 PM

Also, always being the bearer of good news, have no fear of any handling loss because of the top missing.... in time we'll learn of a change to the car we CAN'T see (because its under the car) ;)

tonytahoe 10-27-2010 05:46 PM

Like I said in comments before,it's a really clean look with the top down.Don't think I will be able to wait for the hp bump! I am ready to place my order NOW!! Just hope magnaflow will have a cat-back pn soon,-should sound great with the top down.!!

I know what you mean Tony! At least for me its a little easier with Winter coming up,no sense ordering one now only for it to come in in the middle of Winter here!!! I also thought about waiting a little longer myself to see what the HP bump is,but I think February is the longest I'll be able to wait,If I order then it should be in around late March/early April,Just in time for Spring!!

BTW...Magnaflow has systems out (Of course the convertibles might have different systems because of the frame braces,if thats what you mean)
I helped fellow forum member Kilo-9 install a Magnaflow system on his SS a couple months ago.

See my post on another thread about the top operations and design that i think we are going to see from GM on the camaro 'vert. see post #83 page #3.

I like it, but not sure if I'd buy one. I really like the coupe with a sunroof. I have three girls in my family and they complain about their hair getting blown in their face. Maybe they won't get to ride in it. ;)
