Dry your car twice as fast

I read and old thread where someone recommended using detail spray while drying.

I tried it today after rinsing off my car, and it took me less than 1/2 normal time to dry.

1 pass per panel with towel and that was it, no streaks.

I didn't use a lot of spray, 1 mist per panel.

Yep, a drying aid will definitely make drying easier, faster, and just all around better!

Does it still leave the extra shiny-ness of using detail spray afterward?

:headbang:I use a leaf blower. Works great, getting into every nook and crannie.

Sure does, but wipes off easier than if car was dry.

I do that after hand-drying everything else. It's amazing how much water stays in the taillights and side reflectors after washing. When I first started using the leaf blower my neighbors gave me funny looks until they finally asked and found out what I was actually doing. :twitch:

I'll definitely try that next time! :thumb:
I almost always follow a wash with detail spray anyway, so, you know, two birds, eh?

I recently started using a spray carnuba that goes on a wet car and it does seem to towel dry faster. Major issues here with hard water spots and those are now over with.

Shines up great.

After driving car up and down driveway I use my cordless to clean out wheels, door jambs and grill area. Spritz car and out comes my Adams drying towel :)

Enough juice in blower to clean out garage.

Detail spray before drying has a lot of benefits. Prevents water spots, easier drying, and adds the shine all in one.

Yeah this is my Christmas present from the in-laws. Sick trying to hold the cord away from the car as I use leaf blower to dry it. Ryobi and runs on same batteries my other power tools by them.

The other benefit thats often overlooked is lubrication - anytime you can add something that lubricates the surface you're further reducing the chances of swirls... also water running out of trim and gaps will still potentially have some grit after washing so keeping that from damaging the paint is key.
