Track Day @ Auto Club Speedway (Sun - Nov. 9th)

8 Attachment(s)
So who's in??? Speed Ventures will be holding a Track Day at Auto Club Speedway on November 9th. Wanted to see if we can get another good group of C5 members together. Back in May of this year I believe we had 15 members show and it was a blast. So much so, I had to go and buy a 1LE this time around.

Here is the link if you've never been. Just sign up for Sunday's event. Cost is $190 for 5-6 25 min sessions, plus a $10 entry fee for each person at the gate.

I already have approx 5 people going already but if I can get a few more to commit I would like to call Speed Ventures up like last time and get us a discounted rate.

So if you are interested in going just Reply on this Post or PM me for any other info if you would like.

Thanks and look forward to having a great day. :confused0068: :happy0180::peace::character0182::thumb::headbang: :headbang::happyanim:

! ! ! ! ! UPDATED ! ! ! ! !

Sunday November 9th ACS ROVAL Course

I spoke with Speed Ventures and got us the same deal we had in May. The Group Discount will be a FREE Transponder or $10 off of the Registration Fee. If you chose to get a Transponder during your Registration they will be no charge for it. If you opt to run without one a $10 credit will be applied to your Registration Fee. At the time of Registration the system will show that you will be charged full price but approx a week before the event is when they charge your Credit Card, that is when the discount will be applied.

To receive the Camaro5 Group Discount go through the Regristration process and enter the Discount Code "Camaro5 Group Discount" in the appropriate box when you go to check out. Follow this link below and sign up by the 29th of October to recieve this discount. If you miss the cut off date you can still join us but will not recieve the discount mentioned above.

In the section during Regisration it will ask for you to put special request or comments. If this is your first time out at the track ask to be Instructed by Mark (cornerspeed92). He will be joining us for the day and you couldn't ask for anyone better out at the track to show you the lines you need to turn a fast lap. Thanks Mark for stepping up as the C5 instructor.

Happy to see we got some people interested and look forward to having a great day out at the Track with everyone.

Would it be okay if me and some headturners do this with ya? We have a couple of new members we need to show off.

Kurt,

You know I'm in!

I'll be representing all the V6'ers that cant attend or are too scared to run against the V8 crowd. :)

Do you want to see if we can get a group buy before signing up on the web site?

booyaa56 10-13-2014 01:38 PM

:drool:I might be interested, have always wanted to race a real course

Jenner 10-13-2014 01:51 PM

Ooh might be the time to test all the new parts

The reason for the Posting is to see if we can get 10 committed. I will call and set up with Speed Venture a group discount rate with them. So if you are serious about going please reply. IN. YES. GOING. What ever you're feeling. And I will update list. So hold off on signing up on SV website until we get the discount code from them.

All people are welcome to come. You HT guys are always in.

So post your replies and I'll start the list.

Looks like a ton of fun, i have some questions. Where do you get numbers for your car, and the link says we have to have tow points? What do we do about that as from the pictures above i dont see anything in the front used for towing. Id like to go :)

I got mine from FastSigns. They're magnetic. Cost was about $75. Most first timmers just use Blue Low Stick Painter Tape for there numbers.

Tow Hooks are not mandatory but should be something you look at if you plan on doing this often. Beginner groups usually don't have a problem as they are not pushing their cars out right.

The 2 main things you'll need is a Snell 10 approved Helmet. Cost about $150 - $400. SV rents them for the day $30. 2nd is Good tires. You dont want to go out pushing the limits on badly worn tires.

Let's do this. Loads of fun.

Thanks. Ill just rent a helmet there i guess, and my tires are still new, since the car has 6000 miles on it.
