what is considered muffler cutout/delete?

like if you get a corsa catback or borla catback or gmpp axle back or slp axle back, are those considered muffler cutout/delete?

illegal in texas to have cutout/delete...

so the only way to remain legal is to keep the stock on there?

Pretty self explanatory it's just like it sounds you can't get rid of your mufflers completely aka delete. The other options you mentioned are replacement exhaust/mufflers and should be fine. They are basically saying can't have a car with no mufflers.

A muffler cut out/delete is when you have NO mufflers on your car what so ever. Such as cutting them out adding straight pipes and the tips on the end.

Corsa/Borla/SLP/GMPP replace your stock mufflers, and other piping (just on the cat-back). And these aren't considered to be illegal. However one of the SLP's (the I or the II can't remember which) is a muffler delete, you pay like $500 for a piece of mandrel bent pipe which you cut our your stock muffler for. Hope this helps.
