Hammerhead Housing

Anybody put one in their ZL1 yet?

now sure anybody had moded far enough to need it yet. stock zl1 diff is almost a 10" ring gear.

I was thinking the limited gear ratio availabilty for the 9.9" would justify the install.

Interesting question. Would it even fit? Also you would lose the diff cooler and the ZL1 chunk is iron Vs aluminum for the hammerhead. I wonder if it is weaker or stronger? I would assume it would be lighter but how much? I have yet to hear about someone breaking a ZL1 rear even with a ton more power and slicks. A better question would be is anyone developing additional gear sets for the ZL1 rear.

yeah at those power levels though these car start trapping in the high 130's low 140's0 so I think most people just live with the gearing.

basically for the cost of this housing and gearing you can make the car have enough power not to need the swap ha ha.
