I think calling it "Premium" is a bit of a stretch regardless of whose name is on it.

Agreed. It sounds blah at best and certainly not premium.

i find the bostons to be ok after you go into the tone options and play around with the bass, fade, midrange, treble, etc... but im currently in the process of buying either a 8' or 10' JL sub or a Boston sub for my trunk to really give it some "oomph"

JL all the way! best in the business in my opinion!

I've done a few sound systems in my day and you will not go wrong with JL. That's what will go in our car.

I know the car was 60K and you should get more but we're not driving a Lexus. I guess they had to cut some corners($) to give us what they did for the price they did. I've maybe had my sound system above ten 3 or 4 times, I actually fell more of a need to listen to the engine and the drivetrain when I'm cruising around so I'm prepared when the tires bust loose and I'm about to go for a wild ride!!! In 2003 my boss bought a brand new Lamborghini murcialago $280000.00, he used to let a few of us borrow it. The sound system wasn't worth even turning on, I think you could get a better stereo in a Hyundai.

The selling feature on a ZL1 is not the stereo, it however might be on a Hyundai, Kia, Nissan etc

I agree!!

Disconnect the dash center speaker... improves the system a lot.
