Talked to Hurst Today

Just a FYI I talked to Hurst today. On the new Hurst shifter for the camaro they are actually longer throw then the billet 2. The factory hurst will have a 20% reduction while the Billet 2 has a 40% reduction in throw. The pistol grip shifter releases next week.

Here are a couple of pictures of the HardDrive grip installed in Kenji's car. Originally the choice was to anodize the grip portion in titanium color but after seeing the raw material and seeing it installed, we decided to leave the anodizing off and offer it in raw, unfinished aluminum. This gives the user a choice of either painting it in a matching color to the interior or wrap it in different material like leather.

First batch should arrive this week from the machine shop and available on the website for sale. Should hit the distributors within a couple of weeks.

nice. will this new grip work with the Billet 2 shaft? and if so, does it come with the boot ring?

Cool. thanks. I guess I will be stopping by sometime to look at Kenji's new car and spend $$ for the new grip. Kenji installed my Billet 2.

powdercoat or anodize it to match your interior as necessary:)

I vote leather wrapped. It'll keep the hot metal off your hands during winter.

But powder-coating to match interior trim would be nice too.

What is the price on this and will they have one compatible for the A6?

The A6 (assuming automatic) handle prototype is being machined as we speak, we had to incorporate the trigger mechanism and it's a little tricky to engineer into the current handle design. All the kinks have been ironed out and we plan on releasing the HardDrive handle soon after the automatic Comp Stick Kit is ready.
