Lost my best friend

I know the loss cannot compare to the loss of a person, but it is still a huge loss for me. Last night I lost my bud, Moose.

I'd ask for a small prayer for him. And for those of you who feel it's wrong to feel such a loss over an animal, I respect your feelings as well.

Moose gave me the greatest 9 years. And I'd go through this awful feeling all over again just to have him back.

I miss you buddy.

Thanks everyone.

I'm so very sorry! Losing an animal friend is tough, especially when you've had so many years with them. You're in my thoughts and I am sending good ones your way.

people who do not think of their pets as members of the family feel this way.

i still can't talk about my dog that i had as a kid. and i have already told people at work that if any of my 3 dogs pass away, i'm taking bereavement.

i'm really sorry for your loss Moose.

Moose, I'm so sorry. It CAN compare, and I know how hard it can be to loose a pet who's part of the family.

Ahhhhhh man, Ed....I'm so sorry. I know how much you loved him. ... ugh. And you were just talking about him yesterday. Heck, you've talked about him a bunch. Man, I'm sorry.

A prayer for ya'll has been said, my friend.

So sorry to hear that Moose, it is always hard to lose a pet. A couple weeks ago we had to put down my wife's cat, she was 14 years old. The lived with my wife's mom so I didn't get attached to her. I don't even want to think about how I will feel when one of the two cats we have now go.

My condolences....I've never had a dog (only pet we have is a goldfish), but I understand the connection you develop with a pet, especially one that has been around a good number of years. It's not just "like" losing a member of the family, it's exactly that. Often times, people are closer to their pets than they are to some members of their family (okay, sometimes by choice, but...).

Anyway, as I said, my condolences...keep lots of pictures, videos, and all the memories close to your heart.
