Camaro SSX?

I was driving down the road yesterday in my 2011 Chevy camaro SS and I came up on a Camaro like mine and at least I thought it was like mine...As I got closer I noticed it looked a little different and when I got close it said Camaro SSX on it...Does anyone know what that is?

Probably a decal on a white Camaro.

The actual SSX concept car was at the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, pic taken Friday. You wouldn't see this car on a street, it's mostly in car shows.

and I don't think they are actually making any SSX camaros, it was merely a concept car, a frickin' sweet concept car I might add.

Exactly, it's a concept of how somebody could turn a Camaro into a track car. If you had a couple hundred grand laying around.

and if GM makes anything like it, it won't be called 'SSX'

The SSX I know is a GM concept car designed to show how a Camaro "track car" could be built. Think of it as the answer to the Boss 302......in a concept form. Some people say it's the new Z28 in disguise.

Another :bs:thread.

The SSX is not really anything like the Boss 302. Boss 302 is a production street car. The SSX is a non street legal track car (no air bags, emissions equip... full cage, fire system... race car stuff, not streetable), started life as a production car - but then race prepped by Pratt & Miller and Riley Technologies. $$$,$$$. If you've ever priced out a Pratt & Miller race car, hopefully you have a couple hundred grand burning a hole in your pocket, and the need for a track only car.
