Roush's GT500 Killer?

http://editorial.autos.msn.com/artic...mentid=1090793

Roush unveiled two 540hp Roush Mustang. One of these (the flashiest version, with multiple cosmetic design features) will be priced around $55,000with production limited to 103 units. The one that the Roush called a "sleeper" version, will be the 540RH. This will be, if I'm reading this article, more avaliabe to the public and the reason behind calling it a sleeper is that it will contain the same engine, etc. as the pricier one, but with less cosmetic features. If their 427R can fare well as it does against the GT500, I'm sure this one will surpass it.

i guess but you would think that it would be more or less Camaro vs Stang not Camaro vs Camaro and Stang vs Stang lol i guess they have to push themselves to beat eachother

If you are waiting for the last version of a tuner Mustang you may be waiting awhile. Roush and Saleen will keep making versions as long as they sell. For a long time the tuner versions were outperformed by cheaper factory versions. Only the limited production/expensive models like the P51 and the Saleen Extreme approach factory car performance and are quite a bit more expensive. Their claim to fame is in the handling department. I would expect to see the same thing with the Camaros and Challengers as other tuners will want to tap into the market...

Call me crazy, but the GT500 is just as quick, looks better and is cheaper than either Roush car. :iono:

Didn't the 427R like get a 1/4 Mile time of 12.1 or somewhere around that? The best GT500 is a 11.8x... I'm sure they'll be able to beat that with an extra 105 horsepower now.

Definitely true, but you have to give credit where credit is due.

Only cars I don't respect are posers. There is a 4th gen mustang at my college that has a Roush vinyl across the windshield and it doesn't have the badges or anything. I'm sure if it's even a Roush, it's the stage 1 which IMO is a waste of money.

Look's are a matter of opinion. Is it just as quick maybe if you can get that power to the ground. And it does'nt even touch it in handling.

I'll take the roush over it oh wait I did.

I know it's your opinion but chances are they did it for the look.

The look of a Vinyl Roush Logo across the windshield? Whatever floats your boat is all I gotta say to him lol.
